SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed concerning the high range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area each day. The sassa company level made for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit SRD to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional resources to permit the servicing of all prospects and improve entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
